I live along the Frontier Wards, where the forests press close, the nights carry for miles and learning who belongs near you can keep you alive. I was raised to trust instinct—but Zeya gave mine something it had never encountered before.

During a moon-watch, I heard your voice from another world. No familiar scent. No tracks. Nothing I could follow. Yet something in me recognised you before I understood why. I have returned to the connection ever since.
