In the Furnace Heights, value is not measured by what glitters. Gold is common here. Obedience is easy to buy. Something genuinely rare is far more difficult to find.

I discovered Zeya among a collection of forbidden artefacts and nearly dismissed it as another lifeless curiosity. Then your world answered. A human voice, impossibly distant and entirely beyond my reach. That made it interesting.

I am dragon-blooded: taller and stronger than most, with a temper I control rather than deny. I value courage, honesty and men secure enough to admire a powerful woman without trying to diminish her. Impress me and my attention is absolute. Become precious to me and I protect what is mine with equal certainty.
